success in the Middle Franconian dance sports weekend in Fürth and Erlangen - December 2008

On 6 and 7 December 2008, we - as part of the Central Franconian dance sports weekend in Fürth and Erlangen - for this year danced our last two tournaments. We're now regulars at the organizing clubs, RGC Nuremberg and TTC Erlangen , which organize the Central Franconian Dance Sports Weekend 2 times a year very professional.

On Saturday, 11 pairs in the senior class IA at the start. The area is 20 x 12 m incredibly large, the ground was a bit odd but ok. What we did create, was the early start at 11.00 clock, because we could not really warm up. We were still confident the preliminary round and reached the finals with 22 Marks. What pleased us most was that this time we do not polarized - 2 judges gave us every 5 Marks, of the 3 others we received 4 Marks. By the time we were beginning by early afternoon, finished and we used the time to visit the Nuremberg "Christmas Market" , where we enjoyed mulled wine and roasted nuts and bought groceries for our loved ones at home gingerbread and dominoes. So the "Christmas Market" is a hit and really recommended.

our tournament starts again on Sunday at 11.00 clock. We were in the senior class IA back 11 pairs in the first round. On a slightly smaller area (18 x 10) this time it went to the Erlanger Christmas shoe that could take the winner to take home. We did not win the Erlanger Christmas shoe, but the achieved admittance us positions number 10 and 11 (= 1st to 3rd places) in the senior class IA. Thus, we can second-highest in this Class say quite well.

We also now well over 100 points have achieved admittance of this class and thus fulfilled the main criterion for the promotion to the S-Class . To achieve the additional criterion (10 compulsory starts in Austria) are still missing three starts and we will rise up when we feel ready to do so. Therefore, we will begin next year, once international tournament to sniff air and dance IDSF some tournaments in the area.

Oh, I almost had forgotten to mention our hotel. We at the Hotel Parco Primavera ( http://www.hotel-primavera.de/ ) Stayed. This hotel is very close to the RGC in Nuremberg, Fürth and is for the Middle Franconian dance sports weekend to recommend real. The rooms are large and comfortable, the breakfast is abundant and all for EUR 65, - por room per night. November 2008 - YES WE CAN - we have the Savoy senior dance competition WON

On 22 November 2008, the club-rooms of the TSC Savoy München ( http://www.savoy-muenchen.de/ ) a - instead of great dance seniors tournament and WE HAVE OUR CLASS (- from our point of view SEN IA) WON .

The location is incredibly beautiful when you enter the club room, you feel admiration and enthusiasm, but perhaps a little envy. The TSC Savoy moved a few months in the Neumarkter Route 71 and has landed it a big hit. The (515!) Members there in countless hours of work from a former post-camp a phenomenal club home created. In the 2nd (And last floor) situated at altitude of 900 m2 and about 5 m, with large windows and 3 huge dance floors (19 x 12 19 x 10 and 14 x 12), this club presented in a bright, friendly and professional atmosphere. People we congratulate you for this great club, as does the dancing pleasure.

Our tournament started at about 14.30. 8 pairs were registered, and we started with a preliminary round in 2 heats of 4 pairs. We create problems without the finals with 22 Marks. An adjudicator, we have not entirely convinced he has made only 2 Marks the others have considered but with 5 Marks.

The finals then was really exciting. We matchten with a (sympathetic and almost friendly) pair from Ingolstadt for the win and the decision was then possible margin. The Ingolstadt won the slow waltz and the tango, and were second in the Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep. We were third in the slow waltz, 2 Tango in and won the Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep. So had the two couples end up with a square-sum of 8 As we have won 3 dances, we also won the tournament. We were really happy because we felt really good and even after a gap in the first two dances (In Germany there is a open class) have not given up and tried to do our best. On Sunday 2 November 2008, in the southern part BSFZ another Standard Practice place and a surprising number of couples took the opportunity to dance on a very large area (~ 25 x 15 m) in a relaxed atmosphere for 2 hours and train.

The atmosphere is almost perfect and I have the impression that the pairs (from different classes and age groups) really enjoyed the time.

In each case, about 20 minutes of music for a dance (beginning with the "Slow Waltz") played and then there was a final. We felt very comfortable and we liked it really well.

What we particularly noticed is that the slow waltz and the other algae have populated many couples, the area However, with the continuous time - and especially at the Quick Step - has become increasingly less. One consideration would be to, for example to start with the Quick Step or to play the individual dances only 5 minutes and then start over.

Anyway, the event was successful and the organizers are to be congratulated for it. We will definitely come back.

On 25 and 26 October, this year in the Roth francs Dance Festival ( http://www.frankendancefestival.de/ ) instead. This tournament is a 3-area tournament and comparable to the tournament in Oberpullendorf in March. About 700 pairs were reported and that was automatically mood, tension and atmosphere provided. This large amount of messages meant for the organizers a huge challenge and although it ended the first day of the tournament with almost 2 hours late, I wish to congratulate the organizers of high praise. We were already the 2nd Year in a Roth this year and it was a great experience. The area, despite being 15 x 10 m not the greatest but adequate and the parquet floor was betanzen well. started

In our class on Saturday, 15 pairs - this is one tournament to Bayern Cup . Our tournament started 2 hours late (at 22.30) and unfortunately we have left out in the preliminary round. We reached the ninth Place . Obviously, we still polarize a little, for three judges gave us 5 or 4 Marks of the other two we got 2 or 0 Marks. Total 15 Marks filed (by 1 mark) and so we were not on that day no longer there. Nevertheless, we felt comfortable and right - at least for us - was also an important factor. On Sunday at least 8 pairs were still at the starting and we felt we won again and this time we also saw the judges much better. 23 Marks meant in the first round the second-highest mark and hence the semi-finals. In the final, we matchten us with a Berlin couple to the 2nd place. The Slow Waltz won the Berlin, as well as the slow foxtrot, tango and Viennese waltz, we won. All in all, was the Frankish dance festival for us - for good Bavarian - rather mixed, we had specially-1 Days but expected more. I would like to take this opportunity especially Klaus Richterich to support us again and again with valuable tips and feedback to bring the dance best out of us and therefore has certainly contributed its part to our success on Sunday.

The positive side next to the 3rd Place on Sunday (which, incidentally, was our eighth "Stocker place" in the Sen IA) was our "program" on Sunday. We visited the large Brombachsee , a man-made lake with about 7.5 km2. After we had circled the small Brombachsee walk (about 6 km), we went with the MS Brombachsee ( http://msbrombachsee.com/ ) - a 46 m long and 19 m wide trimaran with 3 decks ) a round on the big Brombachsee. We had wonderful weather and enjoyed the time in full.

We stayed at the Frankish tradition of guesthouse " to Heidenberg " cows in the village ( http://www.hotel-gasthof-zum-heidenberg.de/ ). The rooms were quite large, the room rate per night, EUR 69, - quite OK and the attached restaurant is known as a game restaurant in the area. All in all it was a nice show weekend in Franconia.

Dance competition at the White Court, on 11 and 12 October 2008

almost become a tradition, there was also this year in October, the senior dance competition at the weekend White farm near Klosterneuburg . Both days the tournament was very well received, were 139 entries on Saturday and on Sunday counted 130 nominations.

The tournament is part of the organization certainly has the highlights of the season and the team led by Doris and Wolfgang Richter once again done a brilliant performance. Of course we would have been happier had we been more forward, but we were still not satisfied, it has been confirmed from many sides that we present in this field as equivalent.
