On 6 and 7 December 2008, we - as part of the Central Franconian dance sports weekend in Fürth and Erlangen - for this year danced our last two tournaments. We're now regulars at the organizing clubs, RGC Nuremberg and TTC Erlangen , which organize the Central Franconian Dance Sports Weekend 2 times a year very professional.
third Place in Fürth
On Saturday, 11 pairs in the senior class IA at the start. The area is 20 x 12 m incredibly large, the ground was a bit odd but ok. What we did create, was the early start at 11.00 clock, because we could not really warm up. We were still confident the preliminary round and reached the finals with 22 Marks. What pleased us most was that this time we do not polarized - 2 judges gave us every 5 Marks, of the 3 others we received 4 Marks. By the time we were beginning by early afternoon, finished and we used the time to visit the Nuremberg "Christmas Market" , where we enjoyed mulled wine and roasted nuts and bought groceries for our loved ones at home gingerbread and dominoes. So the "Christmas Market" is a hit and really recommended.
third Place in Erlangen
our tournament starts again on Sunday at 11.00 clock. We were in the senior class IA back 11 pairs in the first round. On a slightly smaller area (18 x 10) this time it went to the Erlanger Christmas shoe that could take the winner to take home. We did not win the Erlanger Christmas shoe, but the achieved admittance us positions number 10 and 11 (= 1st to 3rd places) in the senior class IA. Thus, we can second-highest in this Class say quite well.
We also now well over 100 points have achieved admittance of this class and thus fulfilled the main criterion for the promotion to the S-Class . To achieve the additional criterion (10 compulsory starts in Austria) are still missing three starts and we will rise up when we feel ready to do so. Therefore, we will begin next year, once international tournament to sniff air and dance IDSF some tournaments in the area.
Oh, I almost had forgotten to mention our hotel. We at the Hotel Parco Primavera ( http://www.hotel-primavera.de/ ) Stayed. This hotel is very close to the RGC in Nuremberg, Fürth and is for the Middle Franconian dance sports weekend to recommend real. The rooms are large and comfortable, the breakfast is abundant and all for EUR 65, - por room per night. We would like to thank our friends for Edith and Andrew Pockberger who have recommended us not only the hotel but have also taken over the room reservation.
