ENI Plans Tunisian Investment
ENI is planning to invest $ 500 million in Tunisia over the next three years the company’s CEO Paolo Scaroni said following a meeting at Tunisia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Scaroni also said that ENI has already invested a lot in that country, where it has been operating since 1960. The company has paid a total of $1.5 billion in taxes and royalties as a result of its operations in Tunisia.
“We are happy to be in Tunisia,” Scaroni stated, “although the country's oil resources are not as large as those of either Nigeria or Libya.” (Petro Africa)
